Occupational Life?... what is that?

Life is full of occupations. Occupation isn’t just your work!! An occupation is ”any and everything that takes time and energy.” Occupation is anything from the time you wake up in the morning, self care of getting yourself ready for the day, taking care of any loved ones, preparing meals, cleaning house, going to work, getting to and from places- (such as means of car, bus, plane, train, wheelchair, carpool), volunteering, working, exercising, hobbies, sleep, and everything in between. It takes both mental and physical energy to complete everything in a day. Now just think if there is increased stress in life to disrupt all of that or a disease diagnosed or a disability that occurs. Someone such as an occupational therapist can assist in getting through these tough times of any “occupation”. Why not give the membership a try?!
